First Things First

I am a Bachelors of Science in Nursing Student at Utah Valley University taking a course in Leadership. This blog will summarize my weekly experiences in learning how to create and incorporate leadership into my nursing career. I currently work as a Medical Surgical nurse and share that responsibility with registered nurses, patient care technicians and other staff members including charge nurses, nursing supervisors, pharmacists and lab personnel. 

It has been a learning experience both in school and in the workplace to experience a variety of leadership styles. I look forward to using the material I learn from this class along with personal experience to develop a leadership style of my own that will benefit myself, my coworkers and the patients I love to serve.
